Visit of Mayor and Mayoress at Lunch Meeting 12th May 2008

Mayor Paul Garrod and his wife Lisa, were guests at our lunchtime meeting. This was his last official duty of his year in office before the handing over to the new mayor in the evening.

The meeting was very well attended and President John Harvey of the Gorleston Rotary Club was also present.

Paul outlined his considerable work load over the past year and the tremendous enjoyment and satisfaction he, and his family had had during around 400 functions.

The Mayor's charities this year had far exceeded his expectation and had brought in over £16000.

President Ian handed a further cheque of £500 from The Haven Club.
