Presidents Handover Day July 2nd 2007

              President Bert Collins introduced the incoming Presidents from the Great Yarmouth Club, Diana Loveland and Gorleston Club,  John Harvey.  After recalling his pleasant year of office, he inducted incoming President Elect, Ian Thomson with his chain of office for the forthcoming Rotary year.

               Robert Parker was inducted with his chain of office as President Elect and Mike Erskine as Junior Vice President.

               President Ian gave an account of his wishes and expectations for his year and was very honoured to have been elected and would do his utmost to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors and keep the Club in its usual happy and casual atmosphere. Rotarians Diana Loveland and John Harvey gave their best wishes to President Ian throughout his Rotary year.

                A special welcome was given to the visit of our honorary member PP Brian Nichol, who now lives in Australia. Brian and Margaret love the life there and Brian is a member of a Rotary club with a spirit and informality similar to our own.
