VOCATIONAL & YOUTH SERVICE REPORT: March 23rd 2010

Chairman Mike Self confirmed that the Gourmet Evening at Great Yarmouth College would be on the 19^th May and would cost £25 per person.

 He reported that young swimmer Dawn Applegate who the Club recently supported with help for training costs had benefitted greatly by achieving 4 gold medals and now intends to enter the national Paralympics Team.

A donation of £200 would be made to the pupils of Acle high School following their recent presentation about their involvement in Uganda

2010  Supported the Newtown Youth Centre with £300 donation.

Service report 19th March 2007

Mark Lee, Assistant Crucial Crew Co-ordinator from the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, has written to thank all Rotary Club Members who supported the Crucial Safety Event from 26th February to 2nd March.

The event went extremely well during the week, which was very much due to the huge support received from Rotary. It is hoped to make this an annual event in Great Yarmouth.

The annual Haven Club Dinner in Ambitions Restaurant at the Great Yarmouth College is planned for Wednesday 2nd May.

Awaiting information on the climbing wall project at Flegg High school.

Monday December 5th 2005

The Great Yarmouth Haven Rotary Club Made a donation of a new Laptop computer and Printer to Trustees of the David Curtis Technology Trust at the Clubs meeting on Monday.

The generous donation of over £600 was as a result of a talk by Trustee Derek Hill at a previous meeting earlier this year.
