Walking Weekend May 22nd - 24th 2009

A lovely time at Chilworth Manor was enjoyed by one and all.

Senior Vice President Mike Erskine got us there (and around Winchester) and our grateful thanks to our hosts and fellow Rotarians, Peter and Mary Bondi, who looked after us splendidly.

We enjoyed a wonderfully luxurious country hotel in stupendous grounds, and..........

Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks, swimming, Southampton (shopaholics), Winchester (in Keats footsteps), Isle of Wight, countryside, coastline, pubs and sunshine.

And then there was the enormous gastronomic banquet.....

And above all, the congenial company of friends, guests and Rotary.

(However, promises were broken; we did not do - ocean sail racing, horse riding and racing, abseiling, hot air ballooning, surfing – until the next time?)
